Jen and Thibaud’s Fun Wedding

Jen and Thibaud had their beautiful wedding at the Griffin Gate mansion. I provided sound for the ceremony which was held on the lawn outside. After dinner, Jen and Thibaud had their first dance as a married couple. Jen is a Black Eyed Peas fan so she wanted a fun tune to open with. Thibaud is all smiles!

They had about 50 guests so while it was a small wedding party, it seemed that they were all ready to let loose and cut some rug (or in this case patio).

After they danced like this for an hour, it looked like they were starting to run out of steam. So, I took it back a notch and let the guests have a break.

And finally, the night was coming to a close. I was so happy to get a chance to DJ such a wonderful wedding. Congratulations Jen and Thibaud!

Emily and Ryan’s Wedding at Keeneland

Emily and Ryan had been dating for almost ten years before Ryan finally proposed. I was very happy to be hired as their wedding DJ. I arrived three hours before the start of the reception on Saturday. They wanted to go all out with the lighting so I gave myself enough time to get everything setup with an hour to spare.

Emily and Ryan arrived after most of the guests had finished dinner, but they wanted to get a nice picture during the sunset. Once we finished the special dances, we got into the open dancing for the evening and everyone was ready to go!

A bit later, one of the groomsmen grabbed my microphone and held it hostage. The ransom was to play “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. Well, I guess if I had to I would play it. Everybody seemed to know the words and decided to sing along.

It was nearing the end of the night about ten minutes until midnight. Ryan and Emily’s friends were still out on the dancefloor giving it all they had.

Congratulations to Emily and Ryan on their wedding!

Jayme and Stevie’s Wedding

Last weekend, I was the DJ for a wonderful couple. They held their wedding outside at Red River Gorge. Early in the day, it looked like rain was on the horizon but by the time the ceremony began, it was sunny and warm. After the ceremony, we headed up to the Woodland Center to have dinner and start the music. It was a small and intimate wedding but the guests had fun dancing to Thriller:

Congratulations Jayme and Stevie!

Mike and Karina Get Married

Mike and Karina had a beautiful wedding at Belknap Community Park near Goshen Kentucky. The ceremony and dancing were all outdoors and we were lucky that the weather was perfect. During the ceremony, Mike was so nervous that he “would be proud to call Karina his husband” which of course was a great laugh for everyone.

During the evening, we had some Michael Jackson fans trying to imitate his awesome dance moves:

I had a request for the Cha Cha Slide, which seems to come up a lot at weddings. Normally you would follow Casper’s instructions during the dance but Mike decided to freestyle it with his own interpretation instead:

The night ended with a sweet song and the guests had a wonderful time!

Congratulations to Mike and Karina!
